With the ability to provide customers the latest in connectivity, Ford's SYNC can add two more accolades to its already impressive list. During the Telematics Update Detroit 2009 conference, SYNC was given the Global Car Manufacturer Innovation Award, highlighting the ability to devise a suite of services that closely mirror consumer demands –something SYNC is able to do with 911 Assist, Vehicle Health Report and Traffic, Directions and Information. Ford's commitment to continuously bring new services to the industry also was recognized with the Industry Newcomer Award for SYNC with Traffic, Directions and Information. And Joe Berry, director of SYNC, was awarded the Telematics Leadership Award.
